ABOUT THE BOOK

Evolution of Strength

Blood dripping from her ear, she comes in from the back porch of our home where her ex- husband lies bleeding. She grabbed her two young sons and eight-month-old daughter and staggered outside to a cul de sac filled with police cars.

The actions she chose to take have scarred her children for life. While she cannot undo what they saw, heard, and witnessed that night, nor could she raise her children out of guilt, she knew she had to be strong for the rest of her life.

But in that moment, her life changed forever.

Unfortunately, for many women that live in a mentally or physically abusive relationship, the scars of abuse can take a lifetime to heal.

But Dawnelle wasn’t prepared to wait a lifetime, and even though she felt she had lost herself, her self-worth, confidence, and dignity, three young children depended on her to put the pieces back together.

Through the guilt and shame, Dawnelle has learned to find and love herself again through a journey of forgiveness, changing her perception, and focusing on herself. She has found peace and happiness that she never thought possible.

This powerful and eye-opening book is a must-read for anyone stuck in an abusive or narcissistic relationship or who has already found the courage to leave but needs to pick up the pieces of your life.
